What is the TS16949 for Rubber Seals?

The full name of TS16949 is "the special requirement of the implementation of ISO9001:2000 in the organization of quality management system auto parts and related service parts". It is based on ISO9000, and its characteristics are also beyond the requirements of ISO9000. It shows "ten concepts":

1, the concept of "first" is the principle of "quality always in the first place"

For example, (5.5.1.1) immediately notify the competent person when the product and production process fail. The competent person in charge of quality shall have the right to stop production and take timely remedial measures, and appoint full-time staff to ensure product quality.

2, the concept of "value"

As Deming said, there is a way to make the quality of the product from the beginning, instead of relying on the inspection (non value-added activities) to guarantee the quality of the product. The realization process of the product is a value-added activity, to minimize the non value-added activities, this concept runs through the TS16949.

3, the concept of "customer"

For example: (4.2.3.1) product specifications and the change should be timely review as soon as possible, and not exceed 2 working weeks; (6.3.2) there is an emergency, timely improvement plan to meet customer demand; (5.5.2.1) senior managers to designate a person responsible for the requirements of customers, if there are special requirements for the product, quality objectives and related the training, supervision and preventive measures in a timely manner to the design and development; (7.1.1) planning of product realization quality objectives should include customer requirements; (7.1.3) notice the client confidentiality agreement to design and manufacture products;

4, the idea of "lean"

Lean is to reduce waste and create value. For example, the equipment planning is done with the combination of the principle of the manufacturing of the Seiko and the effectiveness of the quality management system.

5, the concept of "double effect"

Double effect: efficiency and efficiency: (5.1.1) top management should monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of product production; (5.6.1.1) quality management system performance review should include the whole process and performance trend as the basis for continuous improvement.

6, the concept of "prevention"

No matter as the potential failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) output control plan (7.5.1.1) or APQP, its core is prevention. (7.5.1.4) preventive and predictive maintenance (TPM) is the concept of prevention in the process control to the extreme.

7, the concept of "training"

A good enterprise should have a "strong and effective" training program so that employees can adapt to the development of the enterprise. For example, (6.2.2.1) the qualification and skill requirements of the product technicians; (6.2.2.2) the training requirements for the personnel concerned with the product quality, especially the special requirements related to the customers.

8, the concept of "compatibility".

TS16949 technology specification absorbs many achievements of QS9000 and VDA6.1. For example, during the process of audit, VDA6 and 1 put forward the requirements of manufacturing process audit (8.2.2.2) and product audit (8.2.2.3). From QS9000 (7.6.3.1) proposed internal laboratory to indicate the scope and capacity, if consistent with the ISO/IEC 17025 "testing and calibration laboratory General requirements" standard gasket is the best, but not mandatory; (7.6.3.2) commissioned by the external laboratory will comply with ISO/IEC 17025 or equivalent national laboratory;

9, the idea of "preventing error"

3.1.3 is the design and development of the product and manufacturing process to prevent the manufacture of unqualified products.

10, the idea of "Statistics"

Statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA) have emphasized the application of statistical technology.
